Humber Polytechnic, CourseCompare, and Pomerleau have partnered to launch a new micro-credential that prepares Project Coordinators in Construction with the job-ready skills the industry urgently needs.

This hybrid program combines technical instruction and real-world simulations—covering construction scheduling, blueprint reading, and project lifecycle management.

As Canada faces a historic housing shortfall—𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐡𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐲 2031, according to CMHC—and with a 10% 𝐝𝐫𝐨𝐩 𝐢𝐧 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐞 2019, the pressure is on to equip the workforce with targeted training.

“Canada faces a once-in-a-generation building challenge,” said Frank Cappadocia, Dean of Continuous Professional Learning.

 “To restore housing affordability and deliver the infrastructure Canadians need, we must train the right people for the right jobs. This program provides a fast, practical, and scalable solution that’s been built with the sector, for the sector.”
